Condolences

The Center for Human Rights of Moldova - The National Ombudsman Institution, represented by the Parliamentary advocate Mr. Anatolie Munteanu, Director, expresses the deepest compassion on the tragic accident of April 10th, which resulted in the death, along numerous Polish officials and citizens, of the Human Rights Defender- Ombudsman of the Republic of Poland, Dr. Janusz Kochanowscki.

 I do express the profound sympathy in connection with the tragic accident of April 10th, occurred near Smolensk, Russia, which caused the death of the President of the Republic of Poland Mr. Lech Kaczynski, His wife, Maria Kaczynski, and the entire accompanying delegation.

We received with deep sorrow and regret the news that among the deceased, is the Human Rights Defenders – the Ombudsman of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Janusz Kochanowscki, a distinguished personality, dedicated to promoting of human rights and freedoms, thus, His tragic disappearance representing an inestimable loss for the society. 

On behalf of all my colleagues I am sending a message of deep sadness, sympathy and solidarity to the families of those who have lost the loved ones. 
 
May the good Lord bring comfort to the bereaved families and give them strength to overcome these moments.
